COMMUNITIES WERE BUILT OVER THE COUNTERTOP
It’s the community that shapes country towns like ours and we want to pay tribute to the place where our communities thrive! Before the days of mobile phones and social media, it was places like the local butcher that became the town’s conduit for the sharing of news, information and a little gossip... all shared over the shop countertop.
THE COUNTERTOP IS A SYMBOL OF REAL CONNECTION
It’s the sharing of similar interests or values that bring people together. And places like the shop countertop is where people engage and connect. Shop keepers like the local butcher get to know their regular customers well, usually on a first-name basis, and it’s this bond that creates trust, loyalty and long lasting friendships.
OUR STORY STARTED OVER THE COUNTERTOP
It was the Countertop at Roger’s butcher shop where he and his good mate Chris would chat about their day and learn more about each other’s craft, until one day they decided that it would be a great idea to combine the two! The result is some great wines made from special parcels of grapes that Chris has grown on his vineyard which pair amazingly well with meals created with some of Roger’s favourite cuts of meat.
